Future leaders ready for take-off!
More than 200 Indonesian scholarship recipients recently took part in the Pre-Departure Training (PDT) Enrichment Week in Bali, equipping them with the skills, knowledge, and networks to thrive in Australia.
Over five days, scholars from the Australia Awards, Australia Awards Split-Site Masters, LPDP-Australia Awards, LPDP and ACIAR took part in briefings, academic workshops, and thematic sessions on Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI), Prevention of Sexual Exploitation, Abuse and Harassment (PSEAH) and mental health awareness. They also met with Australian universities and an academic adviser to explore study options, campus life and support services.
One of the highlights was the Pre-Departure Briefing, co-organised with Indonesia’s Ministry of Higher Education, Science and Technology, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Ministry of State Secretariat, where scholars received guidance on degree recognition, consular services, passport regulations and reintegration plans. LPDP-Australia Awards scholars also celebrated at a Scholarships Networking Reception, strengthening connections before heading to Australia.
With stronger connections and valuable insights, these scholars are set to make a lasting impact in their communities and strengthen the people-to-people links between Indonesia and Australia.
