Join Our Lecture on ‘Navigating Politics and Policymaking as an Emerging Leader’

How do emerging leaders navigate the complex world of politics, policymaking and public decision-making?

Join us for the online guest lecture, ‘Navigating Politics and Policymaking as an Emerging Leader’ delivered by Professor Gaby Ramia from The University of Sydney, on Friday, 20 February 2026, from 1:45pm to 4:00pm (Jakarta time).

This lecture offers a back-to-basics introduction to public policy, unpacking the core frameworks and terminology used in policy analysis and development. Professor Ramia will explore the political and institutional contexts in which policymakers operate, including governance networks, stakeholder interests and the role of power and institutions in shaping policy agendas and resource allocation.

The session explores stakeholder engagement in modern policymaking, highlighting how governments and organisations work with communities, industry non-government organisations and citizens to design and review policy, while emphasising transparency and trust. It also addresses the growing complexity of policymaking today, introducing key concepts such as policy coherence, governance networks and public–private collaboration in response to social, economic and global challenges.

Indonesian graduates and scholars of Australian tertiary institutions are especially encouraged to attend. Please RSVP via this link by Wednesday, 18 February 2026. Due to limited places, early registration is recommended. Attendees will receive an e-certificate of participation.
