The Australian GEDSI Alumni Network Summit invites alumni and partners to participate in the ‘Australian GEDSI Alumni Network Summit: Local Voices, National Inclusion’, a multi-phase initiative taking place from August to December 2026. Bringing together Australian alumni, government representatives, civil society organisations, academics and development partners, the Summit aims to strengthen inclusive development by elevating local perspectives and experiences on Gender Equality, Disability and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) across Indonesia.
The initiative will begin with an online Pre-Summit Dialogue on 24 August 2026, followed by hybrid Regional Roadshows in Aceh on 7 October and Kupang on 5 November. The initiative will culminate in a hybrid National Summit in Surabaya on 8–9 December 2026. Across these phases, participants will have opportunities to exchange experiences, showcase promising practices and explore practical approaches to advancing inclusion in diverse local contexts.
Through dialogue, collaboration and knowledge sharing, the Summit will celebrate alumni leadership, amplify community-driven innovations and strengthen connections among GEDSI champions. By bringing local insights into national conversations, the initiative seeks to foster a stronger and more connected GEDSI community of practice across Indonesia.
