Getting Ready for Australia: Join Our 2025 Online On-Award Sharing Session on ‘Preparing for Study and Life in Australia’

The journey to Australia is just around the corner for the Australia Awards scholars Intake 2026! To support the preparation, Australia Awards in Indonesia will hold the Online On-Award Scholars Sharing Session on ‘Preparing for Study and Life in Australia’ from 26 to 28 November 2025.

This three-day program offers a unique opportunity for newly awarded scholars to learn directly from current On-Award scholars across all six Australian states and territories. Through interactive discussions and breakout sessions, participants will gain firsthand insights into navigating academic life, managing finances, finding housing and adapting to new cultural and social environments.

A highlight of this year’s program is a dedicated session on finding housing in Australia, where scholars will receive practical tips on securing accommodation and avoiding common challenges in the tight rental market. The event also features tailored discussions for PhD scholars, scholars studying with families and those with disabilities, ensuring every participant feels included and supported.

In collaboration with the Indonesian Students Association in Australia (PPIA), the session will also introduce scholars to PPIA leaders and networks that help Indonesian students thrive both academically and personally across Australia.

This sharing session will help equip scholars with the confidence, knowledge, and community connections they need to begin their Australian journey successfully.
