ANNEX A: Personal Data for Split Site Masters Program

Types of Personal Data

  1. Copies of my relevant academic records/reports from educational institutions I have attended.
  2. Upon receiving the Australia Awards Scholarships for Split Site Masters Program, excerpts of my scholarship data (related to academic background, achievements, leadership skills, and proposed study program in Australia).
  3. Upon receiving the Australia Awards Scholarships for Split Site Masters Program, my personal information and that of my family members and dependents, including Special Personal Data as defined by the PDP Law and Sensitive Information as defined by the Privacy Act, which includes:
    • Identity data, such as first name, last name, date of birth, and gender.
    • Contact details, such as email address and phone number.
    • Employment-related data.
    • Educational history.

Purpose

  1. To be used in the selection process for the Australia Awards Scholarships for Split Site Masters Program.
  2. To monitor my academic performance at the host institution during my studies under the Australia Awards.
  3. To provide information to relevant Australian officials.
  4. The Australian Government uses and discloses these excerpts in promotional materials in print and on the Internet. Promotional materials may include, but are not limited to, media releases and information circulated to the DFAT Foreign Office and Australian educational institutions related to the Australia Awards.
  5. Collected, managed, used, and disclosed under the conditions described, and for the purposes specified, as outlined in the Australia Awards Scholarships Policy Handbook.

Purpose of Alumni Data Maintenance

  1. To send information about Scholarship & Alumni Updates (latest news, events, educational opportunities, and networking).
  2. To identify various programs, events, and opportunities that are relevant and beneficial to me as an Australia Awards Alumni.

Data Retention Period

  • From the time of application, during the study period, until I become an alumni of the Australia Awards Scholarships for Split Site Masters Program.

 

Shared With

  • The Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade and Australian Government and Parliamentary Officials.
  • The Australian Government, DFAT Foreign Office, and Australian educational institutions.
  • Disclosed by and exchanged between DFAT, other government agencies including Australian immigration authorities, Australian educational institutions, partner organizations (including main contractors and sub-contractors), health insurance companies, medical practitioners, case managers, home government (if applicable), and other parties, under the conditions described.
