We are pleased to announce a call for project proposals under the Alumni Grant Scheme (AGS) 2019 Round 1. The AGS offers seed funding, on a competitive basis, for initiatives that create impact in your professional field, organisation and community. The program aims to strengthen Australia-Indonesia linkages and encourage alumni to further leverage their Australian-earnt expertise to put ideas into action to create meaningful change. Send us your proposals before 21 January 2019.
What funding is available?
Up to 25 grants, to the value of $10,000, are available under the current AGS round. Additional funding (up to $5,000) is available for proposals that are in partnership with an Australian organisation or have secured additional funding sources. If you were previously awarded an AGS grant, which has demonstrated good results, you may also apply for a follow-on grant to scale up your activities.
What kinds of activities are eligible?
The AGS supports a range of initiatives, including but not limited to the following.
- Training, workshops and seminars;
- Capacity building, mentoring or coaching;
- Research and Development; and innovation practices;
- Knowledge and technology transfer;
- Professional networking programs;
- Public awareness campaigns; and,
- Community development activities.
- The more innovative, the better!
Who can apply?
The AGS is open to all Indonesian nationals who have graduated from a recognised Australian tertiary institution, including those that self-funded their study in Australia. It is also open to alumni of short-term study or programs in Australia.
The Australian Embassy has a strong commitment to supporting women and people with a disability and strongly encourages these alumni to apply.

AGS applications are now open and close on 21 January 2019.
