We are thrilled to announce the remarkable recipients of the Australian Alumni Grants, and to celebrate those awarded the Allison Sudradjat and Hadi Soesastro Prizes, Round 1, 2024! These prestigious awards highlight the enduring connection between Australia and Indonesia, recognising individuals making a significant impact in their fields through education, collaboration, and community development.
The Allison Sudradjat and Hadi Soesastro Prizes provide grant funding to Australia Awards Masters and PhD scholars, supporting activities that enhance their ability to apply new knowledge, strengthen networks, lead collaborative efforts, and deepen their connection with Australia. The Prizes commemorate the legacies of two extraordinary and influential figures with deep ties to Australia and Indonesia who dedicated their lives to education, cooperation, and development in the region.
One of the Allison Sudradjat Prize recipients, Novi Indriastuti, shared her gratitude, stating, “I am privileged to receive this prize! With this support, it is crucial to address the challenges faced by my visually impaired peers by providing pre-employment training that prepares them for job selection and connects them with HR practitioners.”
We also extend our heartfelt congratulations to the ten Australian Alumni Grants 2024 recipients, Round 1. These grants foster Australia’s active alumni community in Indonesia, supporting personal and professional development through focused activities such as training, research, networking, and community initiatives.
Dede Supriyanto, one of the AAG recipients, expressed his excitement: “I’m honoured to receive this grant. This funding will help me improve education for children with special needs in Bali by fostering teacher-family collaboration. I’m excited to implement this program and make a difference.”
The Australian Alumni Grants, the Allison Sudradjat Prizes and the Hadi Soesastro Prizes embody the spirit of collaboration, innovation, and leadership. We congratulate all the recipients on their achievements and look forward to the remarkable contributions they will continue to make in their communities and beyond.
