As wind and solar power continue to rise, their intermittent nature poses new challenges for power system stability. How can we make renewable energy more reliable and resilient?
Join us for the online guest lecture, ‘Powering the Future: Overcoming Renewable Energy Challenges with Smart Grid Technologies’, delivered by Professor Ahmed Abu-Siada from Curtin University, on Thursday, 6 November 2025, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm (Jakarta time).
In this insightful session, Professor Ahmed will unpack how Flexible AC Transmission System (FACTS) devices can enhance grid flexibility, improve voltage control and strengthen the integration of renewable energy sources. Drawing from real-world case studies, he will showcase how these advanced technologies have successfully optimised wind energy systems, paving the way for smarter, more sustainable power networks.
Indonesian graduates and scholars of Australian tertiary institutions are especially encouraged to attend. Please RSVP via this link by Tuesday, 4 November 2025. Due to limited places, early registration is recommended. Attendees will receive an e-certificate of participation.
