How can climate justice and inclusive disaster resilience help build safer and more resilient communities for all? Join the Australian GEDSI Alumni Network Summit 2026: Aceh Roadshow, ‘Climate Justice and Inclusive Early Warning Systems and Recovery: Building Resilient Communities for All,’ and be part of a conversation on strengthening disaster preparedness, response and recovery through gender-responsive, disability-inclusive and community-centred approaches.

The roadshow will bring together Australian alumni and key stakeholders to explore locally relevant GEDSI issues and perspectives in Aceh. Drawing on Aceh’s experience in disaster risk reduction, resilience and recovery, the session will explore barriers faced by women, people with disabilities and other underserved communities in accessing disaster information and services, while highlighting local innovations and good practices in inclusive disaster risk reduction.

Participants will also discuss practical recommendations for strengthening inclusive early warning systems, climate action and community-led recovery, with key messages from Aceh contributing to the national GEDSI Alumni Summit in Surabaya.
