Let's Move Forward: Preparing elementary schools' students and teachers to start offline classes during COVID-19 pandemic and to adapt with the new normal habits

Project Rationale:
One of sectors affected by the COVID-19 pandemic is the education sector. After around 15 months of shifting learning delivery towards online classes, the Government of Indonesia through the Ministry of Education has started to urge the return to offline learning in classrooms. While the pandemic is not yet over, the emergence of new variants of COVID-19 that are considered more infectious than the previous variants raises a new concern. Young people aged 7-13 are at high risk of infection due to lack of knowledge, poor decision making related to health (e.g. hand hygiene, physical distancing with friends, mask wearing etc.), and teachers are unprepared to deal with the ‘new normal’ habits in schools. This project aims to prepare teachers and students of elementary schools, building their competence in proper behaviours when attending schooling activities.
Project Beneficiaries:
500 teachers through the workshops, and 100 students for the training (simulation).
