A Night to Remember: Gig on the Green Debuts in Kupang

The Australian Consulate-General in Bali proudly hosted the first-ever Gig on the Green in Kupang on 14 June, bringing together around 250 guests for an unforgettable evening of music, connection, and celebration. Held at La Cove, the event warmly welcomed recently returned graduates from Australia and reunited members of the growing Australian alumni community in East Nusa Tenggara.

Hosted by dynamic MC duo Nita Liwulangi and Boby Tangkonda, the vibrant music festival featured captivating performances by Australian blues artist MaMaKim ft. Krisna Floop, Kupang’s own Inggid Wakano, and the talented local Sky Band. Guests also enjoyed interactive activities, including face painting, temporary tattoos, a 360° video booth, and a memory wall, complemented by a delicious array of treats from food and beverage stalls.

Sincere thanks to Kopi Aksi and La Cove for making the evening both flavourful and memorable. We also extend our heartfelt appreciation to our generous sponsors: Antoni Herbal, Bagus Bag, Ensikei, Ikan Asap Supel, Kunang Jewellery, Neliyo, Siloam Hospital, SMART Learning Centre Kupang, Smoothmoves, Strawberry Patch, and Tenun Lepo Lorun.

Gig on the Green Kupang was more than just a night of entertainment—it was a joyful celebration of community, collaboration, and the enduring friendship between Australia and Indonesia.

Reunion vibes in the air—alumni reconnect with laughter, stories, and heartfelt moments.
