Australia Awards in Indonesia

The Australia Awards are prestigious, transformational scholarships and short courses offered to emerging leaders for study, research and professional development in Australia

Professional Development and Networking Activities

Our professional development and networking events offer alumni the opportunity to connect with one another, as well as with distinguished guests from various sectors, including academia, business, government, and the community. These gatherings also bring together representatives from both Australian and Indonesian organisations and industries. Through these activities, passionate alumni speakers, talented professionals, experienced facilitators, and experts from both nations come together to share their knowledge, ideas, and experiences in their respective fields.

Alumni can participate in a range of offline and online workshops, discussions, and networking events. These events are typically hosted by the Australian Embassy and Consulates-General in Surabaya, Bali, and Makassar, with support from Australia Awards in Indonesia, ensuring a broad reach and meaningful engagement.

In addition to our regular professional development and networking events, we proudly support several flagship events in collaboration with the Australian Embassy. These include the annual Australian Alumni Gala Dinner, the vibrant Gig on the Green, and the highly anticipated "Festival Sinema Australia Indonesia" – each offering a unique platform for alumni to celebrate and strengthen their connection with Australia.

The Gig on the Green is designed to welcome new Australian alumni and celebrate the strong ties between Indonesia and Australia. With music from Indonesian and Australian talents, it provides an opportunity to rekindle old friendships, create new memories, and foster connections. Held both in Jakarta and across various regions, this event highlights the vibrant spirit of alumni engagement nationwide.

The annual Gala Dinner celebrates the success of Australian alumni with an Alumni Awards ceremony, recognising those who have made significant contributions in their fields, creating positive change in Indonesia and globally. Discover the stories of our award winners here, and learn how they're driving impactful change across various sectors.

The Festival Sinema Australia Indonesia, held in Jakarta and regional areas, celebrates Australian and Indonesian films through “Nobar” (film screenings) with alumni. This gathering offers a unique chance for alumni and friends to immerse in Australian culture, reconnect with familiar faces, and warmly welcome new members into the alumni community.
