Australia’s Deputy Head of Mission to Indonesia, Gita Kamath, met with inspiring Australian Alumni in Jayapura (9 July) and Merauke (10 July) during a series of Alumni Networking Dinners.
These gatherings brought together alumni from diverse sectors to reconnect, share stories, and reflect on their experiences in Australia—highlighting the valuable contributions they continue to make in their communities back in Indonesia.
An alumna shared a heartfelt reflection, expressing her appreciation for the opportunity to reconnect: ‘I truly felt honoured to be invited, especially as a 2016 Short Course alumna. It was meaningful to see that alumni from earlier cohorts remain valued and actively engaged within the network,’ said Titik Kartiningsih, who joined the Networking Dinner in Merauke.
‘It was a meaningful moment to have the Alumni Networking Dinner here in Jayapura. I felt proud to be part of such a diverse and inspiring group of alumni,’ shared Alex Waisimon.
Thank you to all who joined and made these evenings so memorable. We look forward to more alumni engagement across Papua!
