Recorded Webinar: Social Protection in the COVID-19 Era – What Does the Evidence Tell Us?

Watch this recorded webinar by The Abdul Latif Jameel Poverty Action Lab (JPAL) – South East Asia, in collaboration with TNP2K (The National Team for the Acceleration of Poverty Reduction) and the Australian Government.

The webinar aimed to explore how government support and social protection schemes can mitigate the impact of COVID-19, and was opened by Lina Marliani, the Executive Director of JPAL-South East Asia and Kirsten Bishop, the Minister Counselor (Governance and Human Development Branch) of the Australian Embassy Jakarta.

Head of the Fiscal Policy Agency (BKF) OzAlum Dr Febrio Kacaribu – who was present as one of the speakers, explained that this pandemic has caused a negative "domino effect" in other life-support sectors besides health, namely social, economy and finance.
