Join Our Lecture Titled “Economy, Global Trade, and Bilateral Trade Cooperation between Indonesia and Australia”

Join our online lecture titled “Economy, Global Trade, and Bilateral Trade Cooperation between Indonesia and Australia” on Friday, 1 September 2023, from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm Jakarta time and gain insight from Prof Mark Crosby from Monash University. 

Since COVID-19 emerged in early 2020, a significant transformation has occurred in the worldwide economic landscape. Household expenditures were redirected towards consumer goods instead of services, while savings ballooned result of people staying indoors due to the global shutdown. Oil prices experienced notable fluctuations, and trade in medical goods surged. During those critical periods, innovative policies were initiated to prevent a global economic depression. 

In this lecture, Prof Crosby will speculate on the future of these forces and discuss the impacts on trade in the ASEAN region and for Indonesia and Australia. Professor Mark Crosby joined Monash University as the Director of the Bachelor of International Business Program at Monash Business School in October 2016, and he has been the Director of the Masters of Economics program since 2021.
