Celebrating Connection through Cinema: Nobar with OzAlum Across Indonesia
Our vibrant alumni community recently came together for the ‘Nobar’ with OzAlum events in Manado (17 May), Semarang (23 May), Denpasar (28 May), Surabaya (13 June), and Makassar (13 June)—each city lit up with laughter, shared stories, and warm reconnections.
Held as part of the Festival Sinema Australia Indonesia (FSAI), these special film screenings (‘Nobar’) brought together alumni, friends, and families to celebrate the power of Australian storytelling through acclaimed films such as 'The Dry', 'The Lost Tiger', and the short films 'A Must-See Movie Before You Die' and 'Ride to Nowhere'. Each screening sparked rich conversations and fostered cross-cultural exchange.
Beyond the screen, the events offered lively networking sessions, engaging film quizzes, and delicious snacks that brought everyone closer. It was truly heartening to reconnect with familiar faces and welcome new members into our ever-growing alumni community.
