Delight fills the air as we witness joyous expressions during the opening ceremonies of the English Language Training Assistance (ELTA) program in Kupang and Mataram (18 September), Denpasar (22 September), and Ambon (25 September)!
In total, 141 enthusiastic trainees are actively participating in ELTA 2023 at these diverse locations. These trainees represent the Equity Target Groups, comprising people with disability, individuals from the Equity Target Provinces, and disadvantaged women. The participants will undergo English language training for either 3 or 6 months as part of the ELTA program, aiming to enhance their language skills and empower them with valuable academic skills.
The ELTA program is designed to support individuals seeking to apply for the Australia Awards Scholarships with English language proficiency below the required threshold despite meeting the scholarship application criteria. The training aims to improve participants’ English language skills in four areas (listening, reading, writing, and speaking).
Additionally, the program endeavours to nurture academic competencies, foster effective self-study methodologies, and bolster confidence in English communication, both in academic settings and within broader social contexts.
