Congratulations to Prof Akhmad Muzakki for His Achievement

We would like to congratulate Prof Akhmad Muzakki on his recent appointment as the new Rector of Universitas Islam Negeri Sunan Ampel (UINSA) in Surabaya. Prior to his promotion, he had been the University's Dean of the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences for the 2018-2022 term.

Prof Akmad Muzakki received a Graduate Diploma and a Master's degree from the Australian National University (ANU) and his PhD from the University of Queensland.

Prof Akhmad Muzzaki is the Secretary of the Council of Indonesian Ulama (MUI) of East Java and also serves as the Deputy Secretary-General of the Executive Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) for the 2022-2027 period. He obtained a professorship in 2015 when he was 37 years old and was the youngest professor at the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences, UINSA.
