Are you a professional working in aquaculture, fisheries governance, academia or related sectors in Indonesia? Australia Awards in Indonesia is inviting applications for the Australia Awards Short Course on Practices for the Successful Development of Sustainable Aquaculture, designed to strengthen knowledge and practical skills in advancing sustainable aquaculture.

This short course explores practical approaches and best practices applied in Australia to support the development of sustainable aquaculture, with relevance to Indonesia’s tropical context and the priorities of the Directorate General of Aquaculture. Key topics include production systems, biosecurity, aquatic animal health, seed and broodstock management, water and ecosystem management, and quality assurance, with a strong focus on policy implementation and operational application.

The course includes a three-day pre-course workshop in Indonesia, a two-week course in Australia, online mentoring sessions, and a three-day post-course workshop in Indonesia. Through workshops, discussions, and engagement with Australian experts, participants will gain insights into sustainable aquaculture policies, technologies, and supply chain management, while exploring practical approaches that can be applied within their respective institutions.
