Join Our Guest Lecture on ‘Perimenopause and Mental Health: Understanding Risk, Resilience and Wellbeing’

How can perimenopause affect mental health, and what can we do to support wellbeing during this transition?

Join our online guest lecture, ‘Perimenopause and Mental Health: Understanding Risk, Resilience and Wellbeing’, presented by Dr Lydia Brown, Clinical Psychologist and Senior Lecturer at the Melbourne School of Psychological Sciences, The University of Melbourne, on Friday, 23 October 2026, from 2:00pm to 4:00pm (Jakarta time).

Perimenopause involves significant hormonal changes and can bring a range of physical and emotional symptoms. For some women, this period may also be associated with an increased risk of depressive symptoms or disorders. However, not all women experience mental health difficulties during this transition, and emerging research is helping researchers better understand the factors that may influence risk and resilience.

In this guest lecture, Dr Brown will provide an evidence-based overview of menopause and mental health, drawing on emerging research and its practical applications. She will explore factors that may contribute to vulnerability and resilience, evidence-based approaches to supporting mental health and strategies that can be applied across workplaces and communities.

Indonesian graduates and scholars of Australian tertiary institutions are especially encouraged to attend. Please RSVP via this link by Wednesday, 21 October 2026. Due to limited places, early registration is recommended. A link to the event will be shared after registration.
