The Australia Awards Short Course on Promoting Transparency and Accountability in Indonesia's Public Sector concluded with a dynamic three-day Post-Course Workshop in Jakarta. The workshop brought together 25 dedicated professionals from government agencies, academia, civil society, and research institutions, united by the mission to foster integrity, good governance, and a transparent bureaucracy in Indonesia.
Participants have dived into thought-provoking discussions, revisiting key lessons from their studies at Griffith University, Australia and presenting innovative Award Projects. From enhancing whistleblowing systems to creating anti-corruption education tools, these initiatives demonstrate a commitment to actionable change. The 2018 Australian Alumni of The Year Award winner Laode M. Syarif, Executive Director of Kemitraan and former Commissioner of Indonesia's Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK), also attended this post-course; he shared his invaluable insights on combating corruption and promoting integrity.
With enhanced knowledge, practical strategies, and wide networks, these participants are now well-equipped to champion transparency and accountability in Indonesia's public sector. We can't wait to see their transformative contributions and future successes as proud Australia Awards alumni members!
