Driving Change: Professionals Collaborate for Quality Infrastructure Financing and Development

It is a pleasure to witness professionals dedicated to planning and delivering quality infrastructure projects come together at the Post-Course Workshop for the Australia Awards Short Course on Building a Coalition for Quality Infrastructure Funding and Financing. Funded by the Australian Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade through Australia Awards in Indonesia and the Indonesia-Australia Partnership for Infrastructure (KIAT), and delivered by the University of Queensland, this course reflects a shared commitment to transformative infrastructure development.

The workshop showcased creative solutions through participant award projects, including urban railway PPP adaptations, policy recommendations for enhancing infrastructure investment, and innovative strategies such as Land Value Capture. Participants also engaged in a thought-provoking panel discussion on urban planning innovations for connected communities in Australia and Indonesia. Additionally, they gained exclusive insights into Jakarta’s MRT project, exploring its financing and development processes.

The experience was further enriched by a networking dinner featuring a keynote speech by Mr Rudiantara, former Minister of Communications and Information. This workshop not only strengthens the Australia-Indonesia partnership but also empowers professionals to drive meaningful change in infrastructure development.

Now officially part of the Australia Awards alumni, we wish all participants success in their future endeavours!
